There are still people pleading with the Rails Core members to speak up. They all work closely with DHH. For decades. At this point you have to assume that they share his values. That they all also are fascists. That framework is lost. Do try to migrate away from it.

What is your favorite website/newsletter for news/resources for parents of 6-12-year-old kids? Most of the parenting resources target parents of younger kids. I want to be up to date with games, music, education, and other related stuff for the age my kid is in. English or German, please. And please boost so that we can collect them all. #parenting

The reason I didn’t want to run my own @forgejo for my private and commercial stuff was that GitHub was stable and comfortable. Now every day it has new weird bugs. For hours now I cannot see any PRs. And GitHub says it’s just “degraded performance.” To still be able to tell everyone they have 99% uptime. But in practical terms not usable = downtime for me. It once was run by people who were proud of their project. And now it’s not. And it shows. Starting the Forgejo image on my homelab now 😢.

I hope there is a very special hell for people who break into rooms of little projects that are underfunded and try to do their best to help kids in their community. So much money wasted, so many people burned out just because of a few assholes who try to find valuable things where there are none.
