The whales shipped from Marineland on Monday are going to San Antonio. It's incredible to me how my thinking has shifted on these sorts of public displays of whales in captivity. 16 years ago, I was excited to take my young son to Marineland. @aadeacon Your point is taken. Bus service where I live doesn’t start until well after I get to work, which is before daylight for most of the year. Not everyone can walk or take the bus.

#3goodthings Shelter in the storm. A house to protect me from the elements. Ability to buy ingredients and make soup for my hubby who’s under the weather (and for me). A pop-up choir at the grocery store that soothed my soul. There is good in this world.

One year ago, on Feb. 15/25, the MSC Baltic III container ship grounded in Cedar Cove, off Western Newfoundland. 20 crew members were rescued.
