The whales shipped from Marineland on Monday are going to San Antonio. It's incredible to me how my thinking has shifted on these sorts of public displays of whales in captivity. 16 years ago, I was excited to take my young son to Marineland. @bernicecbc@newsie.social I know what you mean. I was thrilled to see the orcas at Sealand in Victoria when I was a child, but keeping them captive was beyond cruel.
