I have an interesting question here! Lets say you are either daydreaming or coming up with something for a story or art piece or whatever and you think of something really really cool. Do you ever... have to leap up out of your seat and pace around in excitement when that happens? I dunno why but it happens to me. Not when other people are around, just when I'm working on my own. Edit: k guys, can we stop with the bloodthirsty replies? I've worked out the situation with the...

Just saw one of the worst cookie choice pop ups ever. 14 items. About half you have to slide ON to opt out the other half you have to turn off to opt out instead.

Nothing like being woke up at 3am by some random animal running and thumping around on the roof. Had to go out to see if it was still there. Gone. Maybe a raccoon? Either way took me over 2 hours to get back to sleep.

Youtube: Experiencing interruptions? Me: No it was a bit slow to load because of you that's all. An actual interruption would be if the ads actually managed to play.

Ok, because of an incident... elsewhere, need to make an announcement. DO NOT... EVER, use this AI shit to generate a picture of my character or put my name on some slop you conjured up with it. This is not funny, its not cute. This stuff is out and out art theft and I want nothing to do with it. This is also about the same level of getting pictures of someone without consent. No consent = no pictures/art and that goes double for this slop that is drowning the world right now.

You think ram is bad? Guess what? Turns out much of the worlds helium comes from, well you guessed it. In about oh... two weeks time the worlds fab class purified heliium will be gone. This isn't "Oh now CPUs will get expensive". There won't BE any more CPUs. Or RAM. Or SSD chips. Or much of anything else. Buckle up Earth, you are going for a RIDE.

So this is weird and VERY suspicious... So I got paid Friday (3/13). I have a 401k account. However the broker executed the buy for this on March 2nd, a full 11 days before I got paid. Why? Looking back, the Iran war started Saturday, February 28th. Monday March 2nd was the first trading day after the start of an event that would likely crater the markets. And sure enough their system auto bought right at the fucking top. Given its a mutual fund owned by the broker, means I paid top dollar...

So I've been having major issues with wifi on this laptop I'm using. I had the problems under Win 10 and they persited when I replaced that with Fedora Linux. I also had a new problem, the mouse would not scrollwheel properly unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in on Linux. It randomly did this on Windows but always on Linux when waking from sleep. I finally replaced the mouse this weekend with a Logitech and not only are the mouse problems gone, but so are the wifi issu...

This house I live in came with one of those whirlpool jacuzzi tubs. It stopped working around a decade or so ago (maybe closer to 15 years?). I finally go around to fixing it. Motor was fine, just a bad air switch. I found parts which cost almost as much to ship as the part cost, but it works. Hardest part was cleaning it out. Gunk had built up inside the jets due to disuse. I ran some spa cleaner through it and then removed the jets and hand cleaned them, which was pretty nasty work. Now I&...

Iran just smashed major gas facilities in Qatar. What does this have to do with chips? Helium. On Earth Helium floats up into space and is lost. However it is produced in the core and mantle by decaying uranium and thorium which release helium nuclei. This gas gets trapped in pockets which often also contain natural gas. However this helium is contaminated with natural gas, Argon (from Potassium 40 decay) and such. It has to be purified to 99.999999% for chip fabs. 30% world helium comes throug...
