The Birthgrave A couple days ago I started reading Tanith Lee's first published book, "The Birthgrave". It is a pretty wild ride. A nameless narrator wakes up under a volcano that erupts shortly after she leaves; she wanders through a medieval world, trailing chaos and destruction in her wake, with dream-like detachment from all the strangeness and horror around her. A few chapters in this image presented itself in my mind and would not go away until I got up and drew it; as I rea...

Why yes phone I am delighted for you to decide it's been too long since I last gave you my PIN when I'm trying to open you to pull up my bus tickets while it's pulling to a stop in front of me. Thanks for that. Fuck I miss my little iPhone 6. Anyone out there have a 6-8 year old iPhone they wanna get rid of cheap?

I am sitting outside a coffee shop in the middle of the Quarter and watching the tourist groups pass by. Every time I see one I feel like I am dressed much more like the guides than the tourists. The guides are all halfway in costume, really. Or fully in the case of the sexy nun with a yardstick and a rubber habit.
