  I'm not sure what to say. *Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk* was one of the more unique spins on girl's love I've seen so far. Botan being incredibly flirty pulled the show along, getting Ibuki's eye, also sparking interesting reactions from everyone else.   There's a part of me that's pleased when girls love/boys love leans more towards regular relationship stuff rather than falling into some of the uglier tropes. A while ago someone posted a bit straightforwardly about some of the typical issues, such as characters being written in a predatory way, and it's set in note in my mind of things to watch out for. So the times shows keep away from that I kind of get excited to see where they go. And not getting too cutesy, seldom...

  *Classroom of the Elite* has become one of the few multi-season shows I'm apparently willing to watch/sit through and I'm not completely sure why. As long as it doesn't take a bad turn like AOT maybe I'll see it through to however it ends (if it does).

  Forgotten about this, but I guess *Kiddy Grade's* choice of making Eclair's lip stick a sort of lasso weapon is kind of playful in the way Yomiko's ability to use paper in *Read or Die* was. Like it's an everyday thing spun around in an unexpected form.

  This Week (Or what we're enjoying)? How about *Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?*. Things began with a happenstance meeting between our boy Takuya, the classic looking gal Kotoko, and the more sporty Kei. Kei turns out to be an otaku as well, though denies it, which creates a bond with Takuya, and then Kotoko just likes both of them.   Rivals? How about the romance type. *In The Clear Moonlit Dusk* featured primary love interest (Kohaku, white hair) who showed his interest early, while the other (Takuto, lighter brown hair) confessed his feelings later.   Interestingly, at #SakuraCon2026 they are sort-of bringing back the old anime cinemas by playing series in the AMV Theater at different points during convention. Huh.

  It’s odd how much of a mainstay Zapp panels are for Sakuracon but also ridiculous they got the large room for this particular panel with all the screens and video equipment.
