This is my driveway. And my front lawn. And the tree we share with our neighbors. Note the deer hiding on the sidewalk? It’s not a great photo because there’s a dog on a leash in my one hand and I’m trying to take this photo without scaring the baby deer or dropping my phone whilst primarily using the other. I know this isn’t an original thought, but I need to scream into the void and my hubbie/kids/dog are tired of me: why TF are any journalists of any integrity attending the #WhiteHouseCorrespondentsDinner tonight? Obviously, there’s the question of integrity. There’s another about what it means to be a #journalist vs a #correspondent, given some of the invitees. And there are fame chasers who will abase themselves for the angry orange and ask for another one. But, it’s SO sad. 🙄🤯🤬

Last year, my son &amp; his BFF made history as the first 2-person team in OR’s #CivicsLearningProject &amp; the US’s #CenterforCivicsEducation history to win the #WethePeople competition, an honor later bestowed as a co-win with their state “rival.” It was a privilege to see the knowledge, camaraderie, &amp; professionalism of kids from all 50 states.
