  The Amsterdam-Berlin train is deeply unserious and stops in marginal towns on either side of the border. As far as I’m concerned it should only stop in Amersfoort on the Dutch side and Osnabrück/Hannover on the German side.

  In the ICE heading home with my kids, an employee from a not to be named major tech company was sitting in the family compartment (which is highly inappropriate) next to us, while trying to have a semblance of a work day. Not having a privacy screen and trying to dial into all kinds of calls from a moving German train (not very successfully of course), isn’t very good on opsec, so I can tell you about their EMEA performance down to the numbers in the dashboards.

  Not sure how or why but parents both in the Netherlands and Germany seem to be convinced that too much screen time is a poison for their children. Haidt and his friends must be making a lot of money while at the same time damaging young people’s lives.

  I just saw Project Hail Mary and thought it a waste of time. You’re looking at Ryan Gosling’s face for three hours while he cracks cheesy jokes and does fake science. The runtime isn’t justified by any plot event. Why bother with American movies at all? It’s not like they have anything to say.

  The nice thing about vibe coding is that apps can be made by amateurs in the literal sense of the word: people who love something. With Strava for instance it's increasingly obvious that most of the people working on the product have never seen a road bike from up close.
