  Yesterday I had a nice talk with my 10 year old about why I play games like Bloodborne. The sense of accomplishment after winning a hard battle, the comfort in replaying a well-known game the same way she likes rewatching some shows, the familiarity with its bits.

  On the matter of policemen being bastards, or pigs, or lickspittle, maybe you feel that those are too strong terms to describe law enforcement. And the problem is: they're given guns and the monopoly of the force, on their honor.
