  The AI-induced component shortages are affecting businesses as well now. We had to order all of our laptops and monitors in advance as one bulk order vs buying them as needed, because the supplier cannot guarantee stocks or prices in the near future. I'm also receiving emails stating hardware lead times are 6+ months. Shit is so fucked lmao

  Taking the chance today and potentially breaking my Debian install by repurposing my SWAP partition as an EFI boot partition since I fucked up during the initial install by not having UEFI enabled

  Replaced my 20+ yr old AC and it's kinda crazy the difference between the runtime of the old and new one just to maintain the target temp at night! The old one ran for about 30 minutes every hour to maintain setpoint. New one only runs for 10 minutes every hour. Both systems are the same tonnage, but the old one was low on refrigerant and the new one on paper is already 33% more efficient due to a higher SEER rating. Really excited to see how this impacts my power bill!

  Holy shit I just saw that Linus from LTT bought a fucking private jet and is bragging that its surprisingly affordable Dude does NOT pay his employees well enough and they are quitting to go their own way, meanwhile hes wasting his company's money on bullshit like this lmao
