  #phonak #infinio #sphere #90R RIC bluetooth hearing aids. For months mum had to shout during phone calls: the audiologist did not know what the problem was. Turns out if you want to change the setting as to how much you hear of your own voice when in a phone call, the menu in android is only present when actually in a call & then of course the phone app is what you see not the hearing aid app. The problem was solved in 2 mins by chatgpt's advice. No-one can tell me that AI tools...

  Why on #earth do we pay #VAT on 2nd hand products? If I buy a used computer that cost the supplier to buy in used 200 and it is sold on to me for 300 because it was serviced or upgraded and delivered, VAT should only be due on the 100 extra, right ? Would using such a VAT regime help us support reusing things and reducing waste? This could in a democracy be achieved surely?

  How can I get an external computer PSU running a different computer A (or disk rack) to be switched on and off by a cron job, or similar, on a computer B? The use case is performing a backup of B to A and then leaving the computer A air-gapped.

  Is there a way in Mastodon to have a filter (like the normal text filters onecan set up) that will eliminate all posts that post certain URLs. For example some links point to sites that require logging on to read it or have trackers, and I might want never to go to e.g. der Spiegel, Tom's Harware... (great content, but...) whatever.. but the filters I see do not seem to suffice to block URL content. Thanks for any help or ideas #mastodon #fediverse
