  Currently doing a small research on the Ӂ letter. There are a few questions I'd like to find answers to, like: 1. what is the origin of the letter? 2. what are the languages that use/used it? 3. is it still in use today?   1. What is the origin of the Ӂ letter? Relying on Wikipedia, it seems like it first appeared in 1967, in Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, by the ”Decision no. 201 on the introduction of the letter ,,ӂ” in the alphabet of the Moldovan language (17/07/1967), for a more accurate rendering of the sound ,,d͡ʒ”.   "April 22, 1907 - the first issue of the newspaper VIAȚA BASSARABIEI,( LIFE OF BESSARABIA) led by the Bessarabian publicist Alexis Nour, was published.
