  Thinking of #DavidAttenborough -- he was a significant contributor to the career launch of #CarlosMagdalena, the #PlantMessiah. Attenborough's Year at Kew included a feature on how Magdalena had figured out how to propagate a rare species and saved them from extinction when their last wild habitat was destroyed. Attenborough has not just done so much, he has introduced so many others to the world and helped bring focus to people who deserved it. Happy 100th.

  This morning, I delivered the v1.0.3 modpack release for alpha testing for the new Twisted Pixelmon #Minecraft server.   Moment of clarity: I can describe the dice mechanic of Blue Planet to tonight's #ttrpg group, two of whom are very new to the hobby, as blackjack. You want to hit the target number without going over. If your target number is a 5, you want to roll a 5 exactly on the 10-sider.   Growing plants on an actual spaceship would require protecting the plants from acceleration. You'd want to put the pot on gimbals, I would think, with some kind of support structure for the foliage. You'd also want to grow shorter plants with heavier stems, to survive multiple g's.

  #FediHelp my MX Linux laptop got borked by the Tuesday patch run, and I'm unable to figure out what happened. I'm running a Lenovo Ideapad with the current distro version. I'm able to boot fine with an iso of the previous major version.
