  I'm also going to post this Undercat album, which was released in secret last year and sadly got almost no attention. The whole concept was a giant farce that I cooked up for my friend's record label, but trust me it really is an Undercat album and I'm probably prouder of it than I should be.   Given recent news I'm not in much of a mood to self-promote. However, I will say that I am releasing a new Undercat album tomorrow titled "Tinky Winky is Dead." @nham and @TIBtv are helping me out with a listening party at 7 PM UTC (noon PDT) on Friday. The album is, among other things, a rumination on aging and death, which is sadly appropriate right now. I'm proud of what I managed to put together.   I have surgery today of the gender affirming variety. I cannot eat, drink, or take any of my meds until after its over. By the time we reach that point I'm going to be a starved, caffeine-deprived, feral monster. Pray for my wife, who has to deal with my miserable ass through this process.

  The last year marked a seismic shift in my approach to Convair. In years past I was content to do little lo-fi textural pieces and long, ambient drones, but December 2025 marked a return to actual songwriting. The first example of this was "Lived Ever After", which was really a blend of both approaches.   Bandcamp Friday is beginning to wane elsewhere in the world (not here though because we exist on Narnia time). I probably could have spammed the new EP more but I don't want to be a self-aggrandizing annoyance. Thank you to everyone who's provided support, retoots, bought the album, and said/written so many nice things about my work. It means everything to me. I probably won't ever make a living at this but I really have made some wonderful friends out there in the world...

  Someone was talking about coming out and it has me contemplating if it was worth it. Prior to doing so I was a miserable human being to be sure, but coming out blew up my life. It led to losing my job and rendered me that much more unemployable and I've yet to find my way past that. Beyond that it's made every interaction I have with another human that isn't a trusted friend fraught with peril. 1/2

Recorded to 8-track circa 1997, I was playing around with several old HP and Wavetek function generators (prominently featured in the opening), the Korg Delta (which I'd been using a lot around that time), Korg 700 for bass, rudimentary live drums, and of course guitars.
