Hey blind browser modders, is there actually an accessible way of using Tampermonkey? Last time I checked the extension to load/install/whatever scripts was really annoying to use. Is there a better extension that does accessibility better? Its annoying to develop js scripts to improve website accessibility in an extension that itself isn't quite accessible.

Yesterday we had an Internet outage for a moment, and I was able to experience my fallback mobile connection for the very first time. Well, it worked really well. Internet degraded for a moment when it initially failed, it took the router a few short seconds to fall back to the mobile connection, obviously all open connections got closed and had to be reopened, but the WebEx conference I was in recovered in 2 or 3 seconds and everything went on as expected. Wireguard fixed itself too.

ReaLackey 0.3.0 is out, here are some highlights: Support for reasoning on anthropic (opt-in) and OLLama models that support it, lower prompt usage, particularly useful to free tier users at the cost of increasing the amount of turns necessary to start working, video clip support, listen to audio support for OLLama models that support it (opt-in), prompt presets, quick access to chat messages, Mac OS universal builds and notarization. Download it from here: https://github.com/Timtam/ReaLackey/re...

I just launched a batteries-included project of beets, the phenominal music manager for nerds. While beets is usually a highly sophisticated tool which needs to be installed into your Python environment via pip, in addition to setting up ffmpeg/gstreamer yourself, indie-beets delivers all of that in a unzip and launch kind of way. I'm planning to release new versions as beets updates too. Go here for easy access: https://github.com/Timtam/indie-beets @beets@beets@fosstodon.org

New RABBIT version is out, with some more Mac fixes, but this time also a Windows on ARM fix. In addition to that, the updater should work more reliably from now on, providing you with the option to upgrade on RABBIT launch via a dedicated pop-up. Download links to every platform and architecture can be found on the project's page: https://github.com/Timtam/rabbit/

New rabbit version guys: version 0.2.0 brings support for Surge XT installation/updating on standard installations, a more detailed progress view with per-package updates and support for fixing the keymap after updating OSARA so that ReaPack actions stay registered without having to synchronize / re-install everything. Enjoy! https://github.com/Timtam/rabbit/releases/latest/

Meet Rabbit, the REAPER Accessibility Bootstrap & Bundle Installation Tool, your one and only tool to keep REAPER and all its extensions up to date. Rabbit does make sure to update REAPER, OSARA, SWS, ReaPack, ReaKontrol, JAWS Scripts and FFMpeg on Windows and Mac, no matter if ARM or x64. It comes as a single executable that you can run and forget whenever you want. For nerds it also contains a CLI application that can be used to automate mass installations etc. https://github.com/Timta...

Rabbit v0.1.1 is out, with basically just Mac OS fixes. Things like language detection for VoiceOver and the universal binary failure with SWS and ReaPack have been addressed, but also a new try on the open me first command for the app bundle. Give it a try. The update is also available within rabbit itself, I however noticed the workflow isn't quite straight forward, i'm working on it. https://github.com/Timtam/rabbit/releases/latest/

Made my day.

I expected the NVIDIA DGX Spark to be a server-like machine, just connect it to your LAN network and connect via SSH. Turns out, even with a working LAN connection in place, it requires you to connect to its WiFi hotspot for the first-time setup and during the setup process it asks you to connect to your local WiFi. Man i've got a good reason to plug you in you know... I'll have to find out how to make it speak wire now. Great.

RE: https://tweesecake.social/@app/116377278463848227 Oh no, my timeline was full of empty items, so I had to delete 300 Megabytes of database holding roughly 150K toots from the last few years, what am I going to do now... Well, it doesn't hurt me, but backwards compatibility isn't quite what I'd call this behaviour. Also, this is a quotation test.

@nolan Just a friendly reminder that I'd still be interested to get bevy_tts, bevy_synthizer etc. up to the latest Bevy version at some point. I guess it got lost over Christmas and all.

I probably don't have time for it, but would someone be willing to try and put MXTune on the Ableton Move through Schwung? Sounds like a fun toy to play with: https://github.com/liuanlin-mx/MXTune

A thing that I just thought about whilst listening to the full cast version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: remember the scene in which Hermione confronts Professor Umbridge, stating that she disagrees with the oppinion of the author of the book they're reading? I cannot remember any lesson from my school time where I said something like "but I disagree with what we're reading here, because..." and breaking out into a fruitful discussion. That is s...

@FranceskaMann I don't agree with her oppinion either, but i'm not gonna open up this discussion in this thread again, as it is not relevant to what I was saying here, and Mastodon has been a battlefield about this quite a few times already.

I don't know who needs to read this, but apparently there is a pretty widely used DNS blocklist for PiHole (or in my case Technitium) that currently seems to block google.com and github.com, and probably some other sites too, for... I don't know which reason. I just thought my DNS broke, but no, the filter is just going crazy right now. Just so you know in case you're running into the same issue as soon as your AdBlock updates its lists.

You know, even if you have a fallback internet connection in the form of a 5G router that is very well capable of lifting all the data processing via mobile if necessary, all things fall apart if the main router ends up in some kind of weird loophole where it'd switch to the fallback connection once every... few hours and then return to the main connection, which might or might not have failed, I don't know, because when I returned a week later and rebooted everything worked just...

Seems like my life will have to continue without any grand parents now. My youngest grandmother passed away over 20 years ago after a stroke in public transport, my oldest grandfather left us about 12:30 PM this day. And all of them went way to early. You'll all be missed deeply.

I'm always kinda worried when fixing broken tech myself. I'm usually quite skilled with such things (apart from losing screws regularly by accident), but I'm afraid of breaking even more than what is already broken. I thus was quite reluctant to fix my Lewitt LCT 440 Pure which fell down once last year. It still works just fine, but moving it made something rattle inside the mic cage. I just opened it up myself and removed the tiny broken metal piece. Its almost as good a...

Wanna nibble on some great boss battle music? This one is my favourite piece in Trails beyond horizon so far. Always have to pause for a sec when starting a battle, the bass is just too funky to handle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xK3-TcTq9s&list=PLvw3SWxvO5argOjN3xqWi0ppHngsYUmgG&index=74

The Adventures of Elliot might be the first game that makes the Nintendo Switch 2 interesting to me. Our pile of games however is so tall that we'll manage just fine without, and as soon as we're done with those games, the game will have released on Steam anway. So well... there is time to wait.
