  I learned something interesting yesterday: my car keeps its internal clock correct, adjusting for time zones and “daylight savings” changes. I always thought today’s cars should be able to do this. But, don’t get too excited. For some reason, the dashboard clock is not privy to this information.

  Last night I was able to say goodbye for the final time to a good man. In a few days, I’ll see him in a casket. Currently, he’s bedridden and wasting away. He has no option other than starving himself to death. There’s no dignity in his death. I brought him a moment of joy when I “reminded” him that “soon he will see” my daughter, his great-granddaughter. I thanked him for accepting me into his family and told him that I love him.

  Not even the NRA trusts that a room full of gunmen is a room full of “good guys with guns.” If they can’t tell the difference, how do they expect the rest of us to feel safe? Of course, all that really matters to them is that people keep lining their pockets. @lindyli@bird.makeup
