@beekeeper@poa.st @Inginsub@clubcyberia.co While real free GNU anubis is GPLv3-or-later, the picture shows evil anubis, which is proprietary slopware that is claimed to be licensed under MIT expat. A program is only free software if the user can choose whether or not to run it (including whether to inspect the program before executing it). The way eanubis works is it's a malware JavaScript program that is sprung on any misconfiguration browser (yes, most web browsers execute arbitary remot...

@mangeurdenuage@shitposter.world @kaia@pleroma.soykaf.com Copyright is held and not owned. If it was owned, then copyright would never expire. Code changes to unlicensed leaked source code are simply illegal - it doesn't automatically become licensed to the copyright holder(s) - although the copyright holder(s) may agree to retroactively authorize the changes with the copyright assigned.

@salty@zwiebel.social USB 3.0 is a much faster interface than USB 2.0 (it's symmetric too), but it won't make any difference if the NAND flash and/or controller at slower at writing or reading than 50 MiB/second.

Okay, checked Trisquel 12 and it doesn't seem to have more proprietary rust than Trisquel 11. It also comes with LLVM 20, which seems to be the version before the proprietary changes.

@caekislove@caekis.love The law specifically states that piracy requires a boat. The law also does not list unauthorized copying as copyright infringement.

@Arrivederci@ghetti.monster Telegram is proprietary software that glows hard - thus of course it's used for pizza. There is actually potentially secure chat software like XMPP and GNU Jami that works with free software (which unlike proprietary software, is not used for pizza).
