  I’ve always wanted to #crochet the monarch butterfly cardigan but my wife categorically refuses to even consider wearing it 😔 So, I’m gonna make it for a friend! I’m sharing a final (promise!) update today as I just finished the third repeat of the main motif (the big diamond shape with suns next to it) This motif is a major PITB to make, so I’m glad I never have to make it again!   Someone at work today surprised me with a little hand-made keyring with my name on it. As a thank you, I offered to make him a #crochet lanyard. He wanted it in rainbow and luckily I had some spare from a previous project ☺️ I’ve made half of it today, should finish it tomorrow hopefully!

  Mother-in-law tapestry mosaic #crochet blanket progress update: 182 rows complete. 58 left to do. That’s not including the double border 😅 It’s three quarters done so I can definitely see the finish line now! 💪🏻 I hope to have this finished in the next couple of weeks or so, then I can focus on my Jarre jumper knit, which has to be completed before the 21st of October, which is when I’m seeing him live in Amsterdam! Next update will be when this blanket is finally finished 😁 Wish me luck!

  Six and a half weeks’ worth of on-and-off work progress so far. Banana for scale. See that red bracket on the left? That’s what I have to make again (but mirrored) and then it’s the border and finished. Maybe another six and a half weeks? #crochet

  Last year, Team Asobi added five extra levels to Astro Bot, all of which were quite challenging. I managed to finish four of them but left the last as it was a bit frustrating. Anyway, today it’s done. And I can say Astro Bot is 100% clocked \o/

  Mother-in-law #crochet blanket update: Six weeks after starting, I just finished row 121 of 242, so officially 50% done and now it’s all downhill from here! Hook for scale. I’m going to take a break from it and focus a little bit on my jumper #knitting, which is just a sea of stockinette now.

  PRO TIP: Next time you make a barbecue, shove some aubergines on it when you’re finished. Leave them overnight and you’ll have this beautiful, smoky flesh in the morning. The don’t look like much when they’re done but they taste amazing, great for making Baba Ghanouj with 😋

  Friends, please allow me to share with you a recent #music discovery, that being the album Rósín Machine by Rósín Murphy. You might not recognise the name, but she was the lead singer of Moloko, who had a huge hit in 2003’s “Sing It Back.” This solo album from 2020 is a house disco masterclass.

  Reader friends: I tend to read a lot on my phone, especially at work or waiting in the car etc. Is the Xteink X3 or X4 worth it? I like the X3 as it sticks to the back of the phone, but both devices seem a bit too small. At home I read on a Kobo Libra Colour (along with pBooks obviously) and I’m a big fan of e-ink hence the question. I thank you. #bookstodon

  Mother-in-law mosaic tapestry #crochet blanket update: The first main diamond motif is finally done! It’s made of 46 rows and was a bit of a trial by fire for me as this is my first tapestry project, and only my second mosaic one 😅 This motif repeats twice more in the blanket so we’re not even half way yet. Onwards!!
