Looks like Microsoft is building a data centre in the #Leeds area, at Skelton Grange. There's a campaign group against it: https://noleedsdatacentre.wordpress.com/ Their site has some recommended actions & petitions and links to their Insta/YT accounts.

#gardening and #allotment fedi, I need help. We've taken on an allotment on slope with no running water supply except a nearby steam. A previous tenant has sawn a water butt in half and buried it at the top of the plot, with a hosepipe attached to the nozzle running to the bottom of the plot (part buried in the ground). There are a couple of plastic bins at the bottom I guess for collecting water from the other end of the hose. Has anyone seen something like this? Why is it halved and buried...
