Day 753 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Majora’s Mask. I’m not sure why but i just wasn’t feeling up for anything, and went digging around for something. I guess at some point i had set the Recomp up and went ahead and this sounded better than nothing so i launched it. This is only my second brush with this game. The first one was around 2017, when i played the Remake on my 3DS. I 100% that one and it was one of my favorite games at that time. Playing through the original is kind of like learning too read it in dif...

Day 744 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is some more Project Zomboid. Me and my friends got together to play some more, and even had dinner as a “group”. Honestly, an ability to roleplay is part of what makes this game so fun to roleplay with friends. Like, yeah, most of our “cast” is unrealistic. Jerry the Unhinged Suburban Dad, Cable the adopted 25 year old stoner, and the newest addition to our group who named himself “Honest Abe” and is a male stripper who thinks he’s immune after getting bitten by what he thinks is a...

Day 743 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Project Zomboid. The new public build of Build 42 fixed my controller problems, and i’ve been basically thirsting for Zomboid these last few months. So getting to play it again is like finding an oasis. I got my friends on too (this is why it’s a 4:3 Crop, to hide their personal info the game shows), and we made camp at the motel where we made our first ever base back when it was just Jerry and Cable. To celebrate the return to the public branch we’re playing Jerry and Cable, w...

Day 736 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Assassins Creed 2. I went ahead and buckled down and finished it today. I really enjoyed it. The DLCs did kind of interrupt the flow of the story. I think they’d have been better placed being put after the main story. But that’s just me. The whole raid on Rome section was fun. I felt like it gave a linear space to utilize the stealth skills the game had been teaching you. My main gripe though comes from the linear aspect. It’s very obvious they had two main routes they expec...

Day 735 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is some more Assassin’s Creed 2. I spent all day doing extra stuff. Namely (and this is actually what brought me to the synchronization point in the above picture) the feathers. I always here everyone talking about how bad they were, and i felt as my first brush with AC2, I’d go ahead and try and get them all. I did it, it only took me like all day. Part of it was because i didn’t realize i had to do a race for one, but the other was because i had to do Sequence 10 to get to the l...

Day 733 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today‘s game is Assassin’s Creed 2. I know I said it last time but this game is so gorgeous for its era. I will state this again too, that I am using ReShade to ditch the piss filter, but with some color stabbed into it, it looks good. I especially love the field areas outside the cities. They feel so much more lively than what AC 1 had. In a way they remind me of Oblivion and how its cities look on the outside. I notably made it to Venice. It looks really pretty so I’m excited to explore...

Day 732 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed 2. I started this up today, and did a little tinkering with reshade. I still want to mess with it a bit because i feel it’s way too saturated, but it’s definitely got less of that ugly filter games of that era had. So, just consider this a disclosure that mileage will very if someone decides to replay this and sees my pictures. I first wanted to start off by saying that the soundtrack to this game is absolutely amazing to me. The piece earth alone absolutely ca...

Controller. Specifically PS3. I have a lot of respect for people who play the franchise with Keyboard and Mouse but I could not be one of them

Day 729 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed. I finished it today, and the ending segment, gameplay wise, was rough. Like here where you have to kill the target? It throws like 10+ enemies at you with a combat system i struggled to grasp. What i ended up doing after about 10 retries was just standing up here and slashing at the enemies as they tried to climb up. A bit cheap? Probably. Is what Altair would do? Probably not. I was ready to be done with that fight though. The boss fight towards the end ha...

Day 721 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed. The first one Specifically. I have played and enjoyed most of the Assassin’s Creed games. Specifically: 3, Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Valhalla, and Shadows. With Black Flag Resynced on the horizon, I would be lying if i said i wasn’t hyped about it having grown up with the franchise the way i have. I’m hoping to wait until launch to hear about it to even consider it (or even better acquire it through other means), as i’d love to give it a try...

Day 718 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is some more Animal Crossing New Horizons. After last night I got some much needed rest. Afterwards I decided to check in on my island. I haven’t been on in a bit, and I needed to keep an eye on my pets anyways today. So I kicked back and opened up my island I never visit. Last time I was on I got a room expansion. Not because I wanted it, but because I needed the storage space that comes with it. It kind of strikes me as odd how little storages space the game has to start. It j...

Day 716 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is RuneScape. I would like to make a confession with this game, and that is that I have no clue what I’m doing in it. I’ve done maybe 3 quests. I really just like walking around and listening to the music while exploring and taking in the sights. I’m basically using RuneScape as a tourist simulator. Like today for example. I went by this museum and just checked things out. I imagine it’s tied to a quest, but if it is I couldn’t find it. I suspect maybe it’s under premium or whatev...

Day 712 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is some more Lost in Vivo. I meant to pick this up for like a quick 20 minute session today, ended up sinking nearly an hour in. Suffice to say I’m hooked. I’m noticing a lot of similarities with Silent Hill which is awesome to me, one of the aspects I loved about Silent Hill was how mysterious it was. And not “unexplained mystery just to lead the player around”, but it feels like the Mystery is coherent. This game has that same feel where all the little pieces are very neatly tied...

Day 705 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s Game is Jedi Survivor. So fast after the first one? Yeah. Originally I didn’t plan on it, but I figured some stuff out and managed to get ahold of a copy. I figured if I ended up liking it then I could look into getting a copy of my own here in a few days with the steam sale. I’ll probably try and balance this with something else too as knowing me there’s a decent chance I’ll get burnt out back to back with nothing else. I do have a few gripes only a few hours in. They’re small I th...

Day 704 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Silent Hill f. I buckled down today and went through the entire thing. I did lock myself accidentally into the true ending though. How did I do that? Well. I thought I had to do a run of the normal, good, and bad endings. Turns out though you just have to do 1 New Game+ run to get it. So I met the criteria that locks you in on accident and went through with it. Not too big of a deal, though I had wanted to do the bad endings first. I returned back to the save point right before t...

Day 703 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Silent Hill f again. I spent all day yesterday talking about why i’m playing this, so instead today i’lll talk about the game itself. Primarily my first point that springs to mind while playing this: I love the game, probably one of my favorite from that year, but it feels very “un-Silent Hill”. I know i’m not the most credible to give that opinion as i’ve only played Silent Hill 2 and half of the First one, but i think it’s the setting. It feels like they just drop the fog in an...

Day 702 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Silent Hill f. After finishing Fallen Order Yesterday, I went to pick something out of my library to play. And you know what I still haven’t finished (Besides the 80 Million other games I started and didn’t finish)? Silent Hill f. So I decided I’m going to pick it up, finish my playthrough of the bad ending, and then get the True Ending or whatever it’s called. Maybe get the last 3 achievements I missed too. Since this is like my 5th playthrough, I’m using a Freecam to take...

Day 385 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Right now I only have access to my Steam Deck due to current events, and I wanted to kill some time and have kind of been craving this since Prey isn’t on the menu and I recently beat OoT. I’ve been putting it off because this game’s openings is one of its weaknesses for me. It’s just too long compared to OoT’s, which is just “Go in the tree, do the dungeon, kill a big ass spider. Get the fuck out of here”. Meanwhile Wind Waker’s opening feels...

Day 662 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is some more Ghost of Tsushima. I got into Act III today, but before I talk about that I wanted to talk about the snow. Namely the way it looks. It’s got the footsteps just right, like that almost crunchy pattern it has. But more interestingly to me, was the slush. There was a path that I was walking on that got that weird snow slush texture just right. I think it’s really cool the game was able to capture that in its world. Spoiler More depressingly though is the Horse’s de...

Day 663 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Smash Brothers Ultimate. I had played a little bit with my siblings today. And it was a blast. I’ve gotten so used to playing against friends, it was almost nice in a way to play against people who, in a nice way, aren’t as skilled. I am by no means a sweat but I do enjoy competing a little with friends. With my siblings though? I went a little easier and gave them a chance. I do want to rant about something though, and this is a fault of the switch, and more specifically th...

Day 664 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing
Today’s game is Twilight Princess. Specifically the new Dusk port that came out. I’ve had a rocky relationship with Twilight Princess in the past. I’m not a fan of how some of the human characters look (and by that I mean the “Tim Burton-esque” look I hear people praise it for) and I’m also not a fan of how long it takes to get started. These are not to say I think it’s a bad game. Far from it. But from a personal perspective I am not a fan. What do I like though? I like the way the world look...

Today’s game is Halo 3. Me and my Friend finished up our run. I believe last time i incorrectly stated that we finished it due to being used too finishing it all in one sitting. We did finish it this run though. The Covenant level seems to always be our major bottle neck, and this time was no different. It took us maybe 25 minutes this go around, though we did kill eachother a few times. You can piece together what happened from the screenshot above. We also always seem to have major network iss...

Today’s game is some more Animal Crossing New Leaf. I’ve made it past the 3 day mark for abandonment! New record for me. What’s with the hat choice? I started buying whatever hat was in the first hat slot in the store. The sombrero just so happened to be today’s. Yesterday’s was a newsboy cap (and so far that one has been my favorite). There wasn’t much going on in town today. Mainly just some daily stuff. I made a stop by the museum and looked though. The Aquarium is my favorite section of...
