<p>I sometimes feel hope and at other times I simply do my best.</p><p>My youngsters and young friends and the kind folks whom I follow on the internet are granting me opportunities to continue learning. I learn to remain humble and I do try each time to remember to voice my thanks to each of these teachers.</p>

@mycotropic The cat, Captain, reminds me of another cat. I watched a kitten flee an unhappy home situation and he reappeared next year as my mother was taking laundry down from the clothesline, hissing as she reached to take the basket of warm dry clothes, suddenly in use as a feral cat bed with hissing cross-sighted cat defending his new safe place. We couldn&#39;t get close without either risk of injury or seeing him run into hiding; but my mother left out food and water and after months...
