I have figured out an eye rolling way to get better search results for pose references - stick 'black and white' into the query. No good if your needing colour refs, of course...

I'm having a go at using Godot, and to get to grips with things I'm starting off by simply porting the game I made in RPG maker into Godot. I'm already hitting a wall, though - I have this background, and I have the collision map (PNG) that I used in the RPG Maker version. I've been ill today so instead of drawing, I've been poking around in Godot and doing some game dev. I've been banging my head against a wall for ages trying to get the player to apear in the room after changing scenes - something so simple! But I am lacking the foundational coding knowledge. And now something that was working before has broken for no decernable reason, so that's that for today.

Did some gamedev this evening, as a little treat for getting a lot of work done. The thing that broke yesterday without me touching it also fixed itself without me touching it, after half an hour or trying to figure it out. I managed to get the other feature I was struggling with to work as well, and I now have a fully functioning movement and camera system!
