@Majden888 I hope to be rescued from this situation... After all, $1,000 isn&#39;t an exorbitant amount if the plan is to raise it among 20 or 30 people! However, it *is* an excessive amount when it is demanded of someone who has nothing to offer but prayers that it all works out. I hope someone takes a stand on this—even if it happens outside of Mastodon!

Let me tell you something... I don&#39;t subscribe to the school of thought that relies on excessive begging, pleading, or even appearing in videos or photos in a difficult situation to gain people&#39;s sympathy and get them to donate to me and my family.
