I don't normally bother with Record Store Day, but when I saw this come back into stock at Banquet Records, I couldn't resist. It arrived today. Nice surprise when I got home from work. #rsd2026 #vinylrecords #vinyl

Yesterday we took our dacshund on a sausage dog walk along the prom in Llandudno. The best bit is seeing the smiles on people's faces when they see about 20 dacshunds approaching. They are like little real life cartoon characters.

@anon_opin@mastodon.social What a load of shite. "I can't see the attraction of football so I assume everyone else is lying about liking it". I don't like watching rugby or golf, but I can accept other people genuinely enjoy it.

Some days my cat really doesn't seem to want me to get any work done. Here he is early today, on my lap and in my face.

When the cat leaves me alone for a while, the dog turns up and insists I play with him.

In most walks of life, changing your opinion when you learn more information about a subject, is seen as reasonable and being open minded. In British politics it is a "U-TURN!!!" and must be ridiculed and scorned. It's not healthy. It's just lazy rage bait journalism. #ukpolitics

@anon_opin@mastodon.social I do think it really is that high. After all, Russian bot farms can't vote.

@fesshole@mastodon.social I grew up in Teesside. At university I would patiently try and explain to people I met from Cheshire, Liverpool and the so called North West, that they lived in the Midlands. They wouldn't have it. Deluded.

The company I work for has "point of sales" machines, which in the documentation get abbreviated to "POS". When I am read the docs, in my head I always automatically translate that abbreviation to something else. I must have spent far too much time on the Internet.

@anon_opin@mastodon.social I once worked for a company that was very proud of winning a category of the British Travl Awards every year. Coincidentally, they also always paid for two tables at the awards ceremony dinner at £10,000 each.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@anon_opin/116115564522697509 My next door neighbours have this done every week by a bloke who come round in a white van, not long after they're emptied. He tips them over (onto a wooden frame he has custom built in the back of his van, allowing two bins to lie, side by side), blasts them with a jet washer for three seconds and is soon on his way. It fascinates me for two reasons. 1. My neighbours are so concerned about their bin hygiene, that they'll pay s...

I've been watching How To Get To Heaven From Belfast. At first I was a bit disappointed because I'd wrongly assumed it would be a straight up comedy like Derry Girls. Then I was getting a bit put off because some it was was a bit too daft. Just finished watching episode 6 and I am cursing that I need to go to bed because I've work in the morning. I need to know what happens next.

@fesshole@mastodon.social I worked in a small town pizza / kebab / burger shop when I was at 6th form. Every weekend you'd get to shout out "69" to a shop full of beered up locals who would all give a massive cheer. Highlight of a dull job.
