  Today's gardening job is to make a plant spray out of the leaves I've taken off my tomato plants. I mixed the leaves with water and will let them soak for a day or so. The tea will be full of a-tomatine, which is the alkaloid tomato plants use to keep pests (like caterpillars) at bay. I'll spray it on the brassicas later in the week to stop the dreaded munching beasts. Tip: If you want to make the tea stick to the leaves a bit better, add a bit of soap. #gardening #growyourown #t...

  Great news! My parcel from somewhere Chinese sounding has cleared customs and will be delivered this week! I wonder what it is and what company it's from? It's either going to be a small envelope or a box the size of a 3D printer. What will it be? Will it actually arrive at all? Will I finally be able to have a hot shower this week? Who knows. 🤷

  A friend of mine went to a music festival many years ago. I sent her a message to see how she was getting on. She sent one back three days later that said "oh god mushrooooom soooooup", and then I didn't hear from her for another 3 days. Good times. Good 'shrooms, apparently. She's an art teacher now. Anyway.... The idle reminiscence will continue until morale improves. Morning everyone.

  I'm always fascinated by people's acceptance of coffee - specifically when I see people who say "I can't do X until I've had my coffee" and they genuinely mean that they can't function properly without it.   Our shower is broken. The replacement part will take a week to get here. I have just had shower so cold that my testicles climbed up inside by body and tried to strangle me from the inside and you could shape a flint arrowhead on my tits.

  I went to a club once in London, and there was a huge vaulted ceiling that graduated from concrete near the dance floor to an almost organic flesh texture at the apex with a giant, super realistic beating heart suspended from the top. There were even arcs of electricity shooting into it from some weird tesla coil contraptions on the wall around it. I was super impressed by the whole effect, but then I realised someone had spiked my drink and I was hallucinating the whole thing. Well... &#3...

  One thing I didn't realise about CPAP is all of the "extra" stuff I have to do. In addition to the expected wash the mask daily and wash the straps weekly, I need to spend extra time cleaning teeth and using mouthwash because the drying effect of the machine can damage enamel. Also, I need a constant supply of distilled water to humidify the incoming air, more regular shaves to maintain a good mask seal, chap stick and moisturiser because the mask dries the skin. I am...
