  Thank you to all who boosted & funded my Kickstarter! It just ended, 131% funded & I have what I need to fund the audiobook of LITANY FOR A BROKEN WORLD & manage the pledge perks. I'm so grateful. This was a gamble & I had no idea how it would go. It's not easy for me to do the self-promo thing. I honestly thought it would fizzle. The audiobook corrections are in process.   Thank you to the folks who recommended new servers for me to move to. I've applied to sunny.garden, both because it feels like a goldilocks place - not too small, not too large, & it has a larger character limit. Writers gonna write! LOL. When it's up and running, I'll probably keep this account active for a bit until switching over.

  A heads up that it looks like a bad tick season. I'm in central MA, but I'm betting it's all over. I was tossing a ball for my dog yesterday. Just in the low grass. Not even in the woods. Found 2 ticks on me this morning. Already took doxycycline as a lyme preventative. Some recommendations: use bug spray. DEET, Picaridin, or Permethrin are effective. Spray your clothes rather than your skin. Especially with permethrin. (More) 1/

  I did a lot of peopling Friday. Hosted a pot luck for a wonderful group of women in our town. I love being around them. It's multigenerational & full of creative, giving souls.   Sometimes you have to make a mess to make art. This is the longest wheel session I've been able to do since my neck surgery in December. I stopped at 6 mugs while I still felt good. I can't express how much I've missed this. #ceramics #stoneware

  Today is my father's birthday. He was born in 1923 & died in 2015. I still miss him terribly. He was a sonar operator in WWII.   I am a knitting goddess! I was knitting away on the sleeve of this cardigan when I noticed I'd made mistake on the cable, 3 'twists' back. Frogging 15 rows was not my idea of a good time, so I undid just the cable, put the stitches on a spare dpn & corrected the twists all the way up. This is my first big cable project & the first time I tried fixing one Go me! #knitting

  OMG!! I am at Boskone, a scifi/fantasy convention in Boston. Wearing my Doctor Who inspired sweater that I designed & knitted (as one does). 2 ppl sitting nearby admired the sweater. I made the appropriate answer: "thank you, I made it myself." 1 of the pair asked me if I'd heard of Barbara Walker. Yes, I said, she is one of my knitting heroes. He smiles & says "She was my mother." Cue muppet flailing & embarrassing fangir...
