Today is May Day. Seems more relevant than ever. A day to remind ourselves we are citizens, not consumers. We are individuals & deserve to have fulfilling lives. We are not cogs in someone else's machine. Today I'm opting out of consumerism. Today I'm making space for creativity & community. A group of women will gather here tonight for a pot luck where we will feed our bodies and souls, share our joys, fears, sorrows, & hopes. Bread is rising on the counter. Today I will live slowly.
