I wish Mastodon would let you change your vote in a poll once you submitted, I just misunderstood a poll and voted for the wrong option. Somehow this should be implemented.

I have some edible cookie dough. I will not eat it all at once. Nope. I won't. I won't do it. I absolutely will not do it!

I realize I'm screaming into the void here because I feel like most of my followers are better than this, but when you begin messaging someone online, do not ever start the exchange with "are you a <gender>?" (are you a girl/woman/female or are you a man/guy/male). If you're going to say this, I suggest you immediately shut your mouth. I assure you that almost nobody is comfortable when this happens to them. People, but in my experience especially...

So, sound peoples who are better at audio than me. Whether it's recordings or streaming or any other audio I attempt to capture, it's coming out incredibly, incredibly quiet, to a point where I have to max out my media player volume to get any reasonable idea of what's happening in the recording. I have messed with volumes in sndvol.exe as well as ctrl+win+v, with very little luck. It seems like a problem with my setup specifically, as people with their volumes set lower than mine ar...

Cat, rolls around in my lap and ends up kicking a TV remote onto the ground from a chair. Also cat, gets the shit scared out of her by the remote and Immediately tries to claw me up for daring to cause such an issue. Nice going, thank you, very useful lol.

Your reminder that you have no obligation to take in every single drama or negative event in the world. You have no obligation to look at every news story or keep tabs on all the latest tragedies and/or politics. You have no obligation to subject yourself to constant negativity and problems. Take care of yourself first and foremost, and if you can't or don't want this much negativity in your life, then just... don't. Cut it off however you need to. Stop watching/reading/generally exp...

Your reminder that when someone asks you to stop doing something because you're violating their boundary or consent, you stop doing that thing. And you stop immediately. No "but Iwas joking," no "but I did X for you, you should let me do it," no "just one more time." If someone has a boundary or didn't consent to something, you do not violate it. No means no, and stop means stop. There is never a good excuse to violate someone's boundaries, especially re...

I would like everybody to know that I was writing "no media" with the letters spaced out, "N O M E D I A", and then had deleted it letter by letter. The result was my screen reader spelling out "A I D E M O N", AI demon. I'm far more amused than I should be about this very strange fact. Lol.

Hey, app? Nagging me to hell and back about your latest updates is *not* going to make me want to update. Nagging me to rate the app will not make me want to rate, and if I do, I will likely feel the urge to rate lower because your stupid popup barged in and interrupted what I was doing. In truth, I will likely want to ignore you and not use the damn app instead of tolerating this dumb bs. Why can we not just have apps that work instead of nagging you for everything under the sun every 8 second...

Also. I know many people have said this before, but I'm going to say it again. Just because someone has it worse doesn't mean someone isn't allowed to be stressed out or have struggles. Just because there's homelessness or poverty or whatever is "worse" doesn't mean someone's not allowed to be stressed out about their own "smaller" problems. Yes. These things are awful. Yes there are bad things happening. But the...

To end my absolutely wonderful day, a person who snores insanely loudly is apparently deciding to sleep in the room on the other side of my wall. Welp. There goes my sleep. Thanks world.

Your friendly reminder, since it's April Fools Day. It is only a joke if you, *and* the person you're joking with, find it funny. If only you find it funny, that is not a joke. That is you being a jerk under the excuse of joking. Please do not try to pull "jokes" that could actually hurt someone. And yes, emotionally hurt does count as hurting someone. Not everything has to become something you play with, and there are likely many things you should absolutely no...

I wish I didn't have to say this, but this is your reminder that no means no. Always. Consent is voluntary, and can be revoked at any time. Just because someone let you do something to them once doesn't grant you permission to do that thing forever. If a person let you do something to them, but then later told you to stop doing that to them, you stop. Immediately. If someone said you could do x thing to them anytime, but then, for some reason, told you no, you pull back, you stop...
