<p>Oh hello. <br />Only me, popping in to share some stitching, some cat pics and talk of F1. <br />I spend way too much time on my own or in the company of a teenager (my child, not a random teenager, he is referred to as the child or the spawn ). So this place is my connection to the grown ups, if there is any such thing. </p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/CrossStitch" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CrossStitch</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Cats" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Cats</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Formula1" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Formula1</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Books" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Books</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Theatre" class="ment

Good morning everyone. It is getting to the time of year where my body would like to stay in bed longer, the cats are yet to receive this memo. It was a struggle to haul myself from bed at 4.50am. I want to crochet, but I really do need to do some chores today, especially the washing before I run out of clothes. Ah well, I will get to crochet later, its exciting, I will have to grab a new ball of yarn, I do wonder how many I will actually use compared to how many I bought. Have a lovely d...

Managed to get a few more rows done, counting to 216 is hard work ๐Ÿ˜‚ I adore this yarn and how it is looking. One day this pile of crochet will be a cardigan, in theory! Time for a breakfast break and then I shall continue with my disappearance for the day ๐Ÿ˜Š #Crochet

Good morning folks. Ouch, groan, argh, creak, crunch, thwack, scream, pop. Just some of the sounds I have been making this morning. I have loads of chores I need to get on with, but I suspect I won&#39;t be doing them ๐Ÿ˜‡ I want to do some crochet if my body will let me. Having a gloriously healthy breakfast of local berries and cherries, resisted the urge to add a slice of lemon drizzle cake to it, that will be for later along with all the other unhealthy stuff. Have a fab day everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yesterday I bought this fab little bag from a wonderful lady at the arts festival, it will be perfect for storing threads for cross stitch projects. We had a great discussion about how buying material/threads/yarn/any crafty stuff and then actually using them are entirely different hobbies. Anyone into crafting knows this to be true. #Sewing #Craft #CrossStitch #Cats

Good morning folks. Yesterday The Spawn made it to the optician without issue, he was even through to the living room 45 minutes before the bus! He is absolutely raging that he spent ยฃ155 on glasses though, although that is 2 pairs and one of them have a tint for the days when everything is just too bright. Once we got home I managed a little bit of the apothecary SAL although I was too tired for much of anything. I&#39;ve had an awful nights sleep, it was windy so I had to close the windo...

Good morning folks. Monday and I have to do things today. I would love to say I am full of energy and motivation but I don&#39;t tell lies. Coffee will get me through, maybe. Today we are going to see the new Spiderman film, I can&#39;t say I&#39;m overly excited about it, but since The Spawn rarely leaves the house and wants to see it, I will go. Although the temptation to put him in the cinema and then sit in the restaurant for the duration of the film is very real. When I&#39;m in town, I...

Part 5 of Not So Scary Apothecary by Tiny Modernist is now complete. I am loving the cabinet, so far I&#39;m not overwhelmed with the weekly instalments of the pattern. Finished just in time for the next instalment of Her Science, Her Story SAL by Climbing Goat Designs. Its almost like I have some sort of obsession with stitching ๐Ÿ˜‰ #CrossStitch

Good morning lovely ones. Fat Cat slept in the washing basket all night, skinny cat bounced onto the bed at 4am and fell asleep again, so I had a long lie until 4.45am! I feel reasonably okay this morning, so I&#39;m obviously going to overdo it, I&#39;ll do a couple of chores and shower, might even pop to the shop, then it will be a stitching day. I do need to make sure I rest plenty since its the start of Pittenweem Arts Festival tomorrow, its almost like I&#39;m excited about it since I k...

My first ever attempt at a crochet blanket is complete. The next time a project says to sew in the ends when finished, I shall ignore them, that was a very tedious morning!

Finally have all the house plants in decent pots. Had to move the TBR pile to make space for all the plants in my bedroom and tragedy struck. It has finally happened, I had a repeat in my TBR pile ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I&#39;m normally so good at knowing what is in the piles, even if they were bought a couple of years ago! So now I have two copes of The Winter List by S.G MacLean.

Part 4 of the Not So Scary Apothecary is complete, we are now filling the inside of the cabinet. Pattern is by Tiny Modernist. Stitched on 32 count Country Mocha Linen. #CrossStitch

Morning folks. Things have been pretty grim the past few days and I&#39;m having that good old fight with my mental health (again). This morning though, I had to deal with some chores, drinking lots of coffee and I&#39;ve even watered the garden. Shopping being delivered later since I won&#39;t be out this weekend (F1 is in Hungary). I need to get on with the Not So Scary Apothecary stitching since it got ignored yesterday in favour of gaming and despair. Forgive me if I&#39;m very quiet, I&...

Good morning everyone. I did not do any of the things yesterday. My body pretty much said no. I did stitch lots, do some gaming, helped The Spawn with something, and then spent the day in bed with a good programme and crochet. I did need that restful day though, I feel so much more human today (so far). I watched The Map of Longing yesterday, its based on a book I have never heard of. It was such a good show, but also a tough watch, it seems that I still struggle with things involved dead si...

Good morning folks. Todays photo is another one from Saturday, this time a sculpture by Alan Faulds, it is both bizarre and creepy. Yesterday was a nope day, today is shaping up to be the same. Although I do have a lot I need to do today, but I need to think about priorities. I NEED to be well enough to go out tomorrow since The Spawn has the opticians. Have a lovely day everyone.

Fat cat looked after me last night, tonight Skinny Cat is on duty. Cats are the best ๐Ÿ˜Š #Caturday

Good morning folks. The computer tells me its Saturday since I had no clue. I had a horrific night of pain, my elbows decided to seize up, ffs. Not ashamed to admit I was crying out in pain, enough that Fat Cat came bounding through to the room at 2am to run all over me until I settled down. I did sort of nap after that, got up at 4.30 and meds are starting to kick in. Once this next coffee is finished, I might even do things, maybe. Have a lovely day everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š

Part 3 of Not So Scary Apothecary by Tiny Modernist is complete. Now the wait for part 4 next week. Not to worry though, the 4th part of Her Science, Her Story by Climbing Goat Designs comes out today, so plenty of crafty things to keep me out of mischief! #CrossStitch

45 minutes done in the garden on this grey morning. I feel icky now, but I might have cleared enough to stop the neighbour bitching and threatening me with the council. The joys of living in social housing ๐Ÿ™„

Fat cat has claimed the coolest spot in the house, he looks ever so dignified as always! #Caturday

Good morning lovely ones. Well, there is nothing good about it tbh, I&#39;ve barely slept and my super organised self isn&#39;t organised, I ran out of cat biscuits, so the cats hate me. That means I need to do an emergency trip to the shop today, that could be interesting since I am struggling to walk around the house without nearly falling/fainting. Yes, I am grumpy. But I have sat on the doorstep with coffee and looked in despair at the garden. I have also had a shower. I hope you all hav...

Third part of Her Science, Her Story SAL is complete. This time we have Lise Meitner who co-discovered nuclear fission. Some messy stitching and mistakes due to being very ill, normally stitching helps me feel better, but doing all the backstitch has been pushing me to the edge of fainting, fun times. #CrossStitch

Morning folks. Well, that has been a night of very little sleep and feeling awful, lots of weird body things going on, the most annoying ones being a very sore throat and the hip pain is back with a vengeance. Even the Visible app agrees that I need rest today, so I might go back to bed after this cuppa - a rarity for me, but I have been up since 1am! Today I plan to finish this part of Her Science, Her Story, who do you think it is? ๐Ÿ˜ I also need to repot a couple of plants, and look for...

Finished part one of Not So Scary Apothecary by Tiny Modernist. I like this, think I am going to really enjoy this SAL, but I might end up getting overwhelmed with a weekly SAL. Watched Project Hail Mary while stitching this morning, probably not the best film to watch while stitching, so many tears, I didn&#39;t expect to be stupidly emotional at that film. Now time to sort out a quick snack before the sprint race at Silverstone. Its been a good morning. #CrossStitch

Good morning lovely ones. I managed more sleep, sort of, by sleep I mean tossing and turning most of the night wondering why my body hates me so much. Since it decided to pull that bullshit, I&#39;ve been up since 3.30, deep joy. A day at home today since its sprint race weekend. Hopefully I can stay awake for all of that. Despite being so sore and tired - again - I do need to get on with some chores today, just as soon as I&#39;ve showered, hoping hot water will ease the aches, ha, eterna...

Good morning folks. I had a LOT of sleep, I still feel pretty horrific though, yay for that. At least I have a ton of stitching to do today. It is also race weekend, although with the amount of English drivers on the grid, I am not looking forward to the commentary especially Crofty! No doubt he won&#39;t shut up about the football either ๐Ÿ™„ I predict lots of rest in my day ๐Ÿ˜‰ I suppose I will do some chores, mainly because it would be nice to have clean plates for when I decide to eat later....

Good morning lovely ones. I&#39;m still not sure if I&#39;m alive or not. Yesterday was a lot. The train through was far too hot and made me ill, really struggled to keep myself upright. It took 90 minutes to walk about a mile, I didn&#39;t even have time to go to the pub (not that I was fit for that). Mean Girls was good, but the first half felt a bit flat, I think that was more because of how I was feeling. The second half was a lot better. I do love the fact that the official programme i...

Feel horrendous so its obviously a great idea to start a new project. Part one of the SAL Not So Scary Apothecary by Tiny Modernist came out yesterday, its a weekly SAL, so I better get cracking with it! #CrossStitch

Good morning lovely ones. Its theatre day, hurrah! Off to Glasgow, looking forward to it, even if I do feel pretty horrendous just now. I am sure once I get my coffee and lemon muffin at the train station, I will feel just fine ๐Ÿ˜ It is going to be a long day, leave the house at 9 and will be home 12 hours later. It is also the first day of a new SAL, kinda grumbly that I can&#39;t get started with it today, but it will give me something to do tomorrow when I can&#39;t move ๐Ÿ˜‚ I&#39;m waffling...

Two finished projects today. A cool Sashiko cushion cover is finished, I started this when I started going to craft group and have only stitched it there, feels appropriate to finish it as the group ends for summer. A proper finish on a cross stitch, that hoop is now definitely decorative, I just need to attach a bit of ribbon and I can hang it up. #Sashiko #CrossStitch #Craft
