  My #gelplate #printmaking experiments continue using hand-cut stencils of #horses. I 😍 horses!) (The fact that it's Grand National day today is entirely co-incidental. What an unnecessarily cruel race that is!) It's quite easy to get a half-decent print off a #gelli plate, but to get something really worthwhile requires a depth of expertise I simply don't have.   My #painting of two #magpies and their treasure is progressing - though rather more slowly than I would like.   New #garden joy! 🌷🌿🌳Battling though persistent heavy rain (which turned from atrocious to torrential) and a sea of mud in February, the brilliant team from Go Wild Landscapes in #Oxfordshire have re-modelled our garden with a wildlife pond, a wildflower patch, flowering trees and climbers, and built a spectacular gazebo from Jack's Lumber so we can sit out in all weathers and enjoy it.   What a fun afternoon we had yesterday at Brook Arts Hub in #StratforduponAvon learning the basics of #gelplateprinting. Since I sold my etching press I've been looking for an alternative printmaking method which can easily be done from a small home studio.
