• Why do radio stations keep playing the same stuff over and over?

  This has been on my mind for years now: Why do most radio stations insist on playing the same selection of songs over and over? I imagine it must be a copyrights thing? Pay for usage of this particular catalogue for a year? Don’t those DJs get absolutely sick of it after a while?

  Oh I’m glad when they do it. But I also find it a little concerning that your doctor is supposed to be the one who knows everything and then it turns out they sometimes seem to talking out if their ass (or that’s what it looks like at the very least, I’m sure there’s more nuance to it).

  I speculate/imagine it probably loses most of its value. All those GPU’s and ram will sit there unused so they’ll probably try to repurpose them or sell them. Second hand stuff loses its value. All the rest will get lost in a shitstorm of a bunch of rich assholes doing the most intimate thing they will ever know=> suing each other and grabbing as much as they can.
