  There’s a house that was demolished and is now in the process of being fully rebuilt, two doors down from me. Full volume audio of the entire construction process should be livestreamed to the owners’ current location. No mute button, no breaks.

  @pj the interview with Julia Mejia is a tough listen. Calling people arrogant while loudly refusing to *consider* the safety statistics of AVs is wildly shortsighted for a public servant. Robotaxi fleets are obviously a multifaceted issue, but Waymo Driver’s safety record is objectively better than humans.

  I’ve been lucky enough to participate in a lot of Apple 50 events with some very special people this week. It’s been such a rare pleasure to pause, look back and celebrate the people & technology that made my entire career possible before coming full-circle and becoming my career. It’s been a good week.

  I’ve been visiting a CrossFit gym while in Honolulu. I don’t like the affiliation with the sport/company, but I do like the coaches and workouts. Anyway, out of all the gyms I’ve visited around the world since 2011, every single one of them have had the same playlist. Early-2000s Eminem, Imagine Dragons mixed with AC/DC-era butt-rock. If we can use AI or whatever to update these gyms’ playlists, that would be a real win for me, personally.

  We’re still dealing with our rodent problem. At some point while we were out of town last week, one of them must have ran over a HomePod. We got home and it was absolutely blasting dance music. TIL: the HomePod accepts mouse input.
