Almost every day I wake up and curse the auto industry for killing the interurban railroads. 120 years ago I could have walked like 300m from my house to our neighborhood train station and taken that to work. Every fucking day, I drive past the now empty, but still visible road bed, and it fills me with longing for a country with better infrastructure... Sadly I won&#39;t find that without crossing an ocean... (without living in a city of course.)

The reflective stripes on my jacket trigger the automatic paper towel dispenser in the bathroom at work if I walk close enough. As the paper towel descends, it triggers the new automatic soap dispenser, which fires a stream of foam handsoap on a perfect arc, across the counter and into the trash receptacle built into the counter top. This is the best thing I have seen at work in ages.

The entire disaster that is the Mad Max universe gets kicked off by a war in the Persian Gulf sparking a worldwide energy crisis which ultimately ends with nuclear war... I think I need to get some leather chaps and football pads.
