Almost every day I wake up and curse the auto industry for killing the interurban railroads. 120 years ago I could have walked like 300m from my house to our neighborhood train station and taken that to work. Every fucking day, I drive past the now empty, but still visible road bed, and it fills me with longing for a country with better infrastructure... Sadly I won't find that without crossing an ocean... (without living in a city of course.)
