I have discovered my local Woolies has a quiet time for an hour on Monday morning to help out neurodivergent types who find that an issue. Low lighting, no piped music, ads or announcements, staff being quiet. Neurodivergence me bum! I'm just a grumpy old man and I f'king loved it!! Definitely my new targeted shopping time. Anyone in there with their screaming rugrats or shouty telephone calls on speaker and I'm going to be tapping that sign too

Woke up on a chilly morning feeling a bit dishevelled thanks to ongoing manflu. Decided a rich warming stew was required. So that's how I found myself at the local bottle shop at 10am looking like shit and buying exactly one bottle of cheap red

Got an email from a bank, one of the big four, asking me to update a bunch of details. It seems legit, has all the security stuff covered. But it was about a business account for a company I haven't worked for in over 10 years 🤷‍♂️

These things don't work. There have been a number of well meaning yet deluded do-gooders set up these things and no one comes to them. Sinking Commonwealth money into it won't help. Also, the editors at the ABC should recognise a false authority fallacy when they see it. Opposition to California's 5% Billionaire tax is insane. If the average US citizen saved every cent they earned in a lifetime that would have to work around 23,000 years to have $950 Million. That's how much the poorest Billionaire would have after paying the tax. They are beyond help. One of the most puzzling parts of the BRS fan club logic is that they are somehow supporting veterans. Meanwhile, they are inferring the 20+ SASR combat veterans who testified against him are liars who don't understand what its like to do their actual job

BEWARE. If you purchase from Appliances Online in Australia they can be pricks when it comes to warranty claims. My recent experience: Vaccum cleaner stopped. Filled out their online form. *crickets*. Called after a week and no record of my report, so they took it over the phone and said I would be contacted in a couple of days. *crickets*. One week later angry Kim calls AOL: "I need you to replace or refund this now" AOL: We don't do that, it's a manufacturers warranty. W...
