BEWARE. If you purchase from Appliances Online in Australia they can be pricks when it comes to warranty claims. My recent experience: Vaccum cleaner stopped. Filled out their online form. *crickets*. Called after a week and no record of my report, so they took it over the phone and said I would be contacted in a couple of days. *crickets*. One week later angry Kim calls AOL: "I need you to replace or refund this now" AOL: We don't do that, it's a manufacturers warranty. We will have the manufacturer contact you. Angry Kim: Thats not how the law works in this country, let me talk to someone who can fix this. AOL: There is no one here who can fix this. You have to go through the manufacturer. *Conversation goes in circles around these two points for 10 minutes* Angry Kim: OK, I've had enough. I need an email address because I have to write to your company before I contact Consumer Affairs to complain. AOL: I am putting you through to my manager. AOL Manager: Will you be home tomorrow? We will pick up the item and organise a refund. Take Away: The bastards will dig in and lie blatantly to your face until you mention Consumer Affairs.
