  This, is a local tourist attraction in Calhoun Georgia. You can search for rock garden Calhoun, Georgia in Google Maps to get to it. It’s free. It’s behind the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It was never intended to be a tourist attraction. It’s been in maintenance for the past six years. This is one of about 14 to 17 similar structures. It’s taller than I am. It’s made from quick Crete and Home Depot sand. I’ll post more pics over the next week. #Georgia #Calhoun #Art

It uses the sperm of five different species of salamander to trigger its egg production. It’s a polyploidy complex - well, the majority are a tetraploidy.   If you are growing bell peppers, here’s something to remember. If you pick them while they are still dark green, then you will get pepper after pepper after pepper. If you let them turn yellow or red or whatever their ripe color is then the plant will stop producing. That’s why it’s pretty common to see yellow and red bell peppers priced just a little bit more than the dark green ones #Gardening #Peppers

  So I paid $40 (which I really don’t have) for the six hour ham cram. But at the end of it, I received lunch. I looked at numerous bits of ham gear. I got a Baofeng radio and a years membership in a large active club. The radio comes loaded via chirp software with every repeater in a 25 mile radius and several just outside of it that are popular. That’s more valuable to me than the radio. I’ve got a nicer handheld. I can pull those repeaters off via chirp for it. #HamRadio.

  The only marsupial on the north and South American continents. I believe. It would not surprise me if there were a couple of species of possum. This cute adult is sheltering under an old boat.   I used to have a friend who was a breeder for parrots. Quite a few different species. I would go over once a week when it was fledgling season to help socialize the young birds. One summer she had six young greenwing macaws of roughly the same age. All of them adored me. I would walk into the room and they would abandon whatever person they were on and come climb me and I would be covered in young greenwings. They are huge birds. #Parrots

  Oh yeah, that waffle house I ate lunch at yesterday had a white pine and a honey locust tree over at the side of the parking lot. There is a small private cemetery immediately on the other side of a fence. The white pine is obviously planted. But a honey locust? I can’t see any business planting it. I didn’t see any around at the cemetery, so I’m not 100% sure where that tree came from but it’s a good size tree #ramblings

  The pollening in the United States South, Georgia in my case, is fully underway. I feel like this could be expanded upon in a TTRPG session. At least for certain areas. It’s vaguely similar to the whole concept of Santa Ana winds. Where certain crimes would get slightly lighter sentences if the winds were blowing. Perhaps hallucinogenic spores blow out along a trade route once per year? #ttrpg

  So I was back doing some work at the folks old house. And I did some investigation of the old shop. The roof blew off in a storm, a couple of years ago or most of the roof did. And it was not safe before then. There are a couple of black vultures nesting in there, but there is no way to easily view the nest. Disturbing them had me imagining I was in some post apocalyptic wasteland. With vultures roosting, in roofless buildings. #nature
