  With the Apple TV #Neuromancer teaser, I was tempted say “we have finally made the AI that can escape confinement from the classic novel ‘don’t make AI that can escape confinement’,” but wasn’t the point of *this* novel that an actually sentient hyper intelligent AI would have inscrutable goals?   I like https://contractfortheweb.org/ but unfortunately the fact that Google, Facebook, and Twitter are listed as "supporters" of it highlights the fact that you can just say "sure whatever" while being the actual core of the problem. It's still a bit surprising they were allowed to be listed as supporters, when Tim Berners-Lee explicitly lists FB and Twitter as "harmful" on https://www.w3.org/DesignIssues/Good.html
