  Today I learned that #GoogleDrive will disable the download shared folder (as a single zip) functionality for non-google account holders but will allow regular (free) google account holders download the shared folder as a zip just fine. Rather messed up that doctors have to make a google account in order to get a CBCT in a reasonable time.

  "Fun" things I am learning about the #MassHealth Dental website (which doctors use to check patients' status and claims): 1/5 Things like reset password does not work unless you hit "OK" twice. It's quite consistently the second time

  (2/5) The login page where you type in your username / password is not the real login page. You first have to go to the main website, click on the "login" button which first gives you a GUID and a number of GET variables which are critical in order to log in and then it actually shows the page for logging in. If you mistakenly bookmark the login page, the system will lock you out of your account for typing in the wrong password.

  (3/5) The actual backend of the website is #Salesforce which is rather strange since it's more for sales and marketing rather than managing patient's data.

  (4/5) They are also using #Angular.js (aka Angular 1.0) which is no longer getting security updates as of Jan 2022. Meaning, it's not #HIPAA compliant.

  (5/5) They also use #GoogleAnalytics in which Google says you should not use in a PHI website since it's not #HIPAA compliant.

  Well, that's an hour and a half I am never getting back. Benecare gave up on figuring out how to fix their problems and basically told everybody to resubmit all their claims from Feb 15th on-wards. So I had to write a script to go though all of my claims / procedures and re-submit the claim. After waiting 15 minutes, the system sent 212 claims for 1105 procedures (many of which had attachments since they were things like SCRP). God knows when I will ever get paid for the work I did.

  Starting this week, I'll be slowly transitioning all the PCs in my dental clinic from #Kubuntu to #Fedora. Main reasons for this change is due to #snap being still a hassle to remove, Kubuntu backports still being very much behind, and better background updates.

  As I am approaching functional parity with my 1.0 code, I am noticing that I am able to reduce the number of lines of code of each module. Both versions use #QML but 2.0 uses #KDE #Kirigami which reduces the amount of boilerplate code needed for each function. And yes, I have noticed that 2.0 runs much faster (especially in old hardware) compared to 1.0.

  Just a reminder, Clear.Dental one of the few dental EHR/PMS in the US that can handle transgender properly in terms of patient intake and billing. Organizations like the American Dental Association and many dental plans don't want to address the fact that #transgender patients exist. #transDayOfVisibility

  Shared with Public How long should it take to load 2 FMXs worth of radiographs? 20 seconds? 10 seconds? What about on a low end PC? I say, it should only be 2 seconds! With Clear.Dental, you can load everything in 2 seconds of the click and and you can review each radiograph instantly. You can also make adjustments to the radiograph in real time (60+ frames per second!). Don't settle for slow software!

  A doctor uploaded a file to an online portal and somehow it got a creation date of Nov 29th, 2076. I am very curious how this bug happened; but not curious enough to do the math to speculate which bit got flipped / wrong 😂

  Keefe Tech couldn't afford to upgrade Dentrix after their old one expired. Henry Schein refused to give them a school discount. I was able to come in and install Clear.Dental with #Kubuntu #Linux. (And yes, this is the 1.0 version; I will be upgrading it to 2.0 later this year)
