  Hey fellow gamedevs: does that feeling of "I'm not a good programmer, I have no clue what I'm doing, this game is going to crash in embarrassing, unforeseen ways on everybody else's machine" ever go away? This is a serious question. Because I hate that feeling

  I don't need AI in order to integrate code I don't understand; I can do that on my own by researching something for two days straight, implementing a solution, and then never needing it again so that by the next time I look at the code, I have no clue what I'm looking at.

  okay, i've got the Hadrosaurus Software logo split up into its various visual components for animation, along with a couple of visual effects that I basically just baked into PNGs in Photoshop because I don't know jack about shaders and can't be bothered to learn, lol. At any rate, it should be a cool little ident that I'm gonna be putting together tomorrow. If it works the way I'm picturing it in my head, it'll be like one of those synthy, neon-glowy TV production logos...

  I'm honestly surprised I never got into Goosebumps. I was on the upper end of the target age range when it came out, but I was in there. And I liked reading everything, regardless of age. You'd think I've have been all over it, given how popular it was.

  Later today I'm gonna reveal the new Hadrosaurus Software splash screen/ident animation in a ko-fi post. I think I did a pretty good job on it. If it lands the way I think it does, it'll make players go, "Wait, am I playing a game or am I about to watch a PBS show from the early '80s?"

  This was, in a word, excellent. I'd expect no less from Nick Knacks. It wasn't nostalgic; it was honest about the show's flaws, and it's less than stellar on-set environment.   Federation is interesting to me, even if I don't completely understand how certain aspects of it work. I just posted a thread with two posts in it, each of which has one YouTube link. The second post has a preview card, and the first one doesn't. On my account, anyway. On my other private account, and on my studio account (both on other instances), both posts have their title card and player widget.
