I’ve closed the circle! Gonna get the stuff around the edges &amp; do the owl last. This is a really fun piece to stitch. I’m stitching in hand, using the sewing method. This piece is easy and useful (and forgiving!) to learn how to do this. #CrossStitch #modernFolkEmbroidery

Oh jeez, tonight at book club I referred to a character as someone&#39;s “natural&quot; son. Some of the folks weren&#39;t 100% sure what that meant. Reading Victorian novels comes back to bit me again. In my defense, “natural son&quot; popped in my mind before “illegitiment son&quot; did. Again, not sure what that says about my vocabulary…

I started using Markup R-XP with my cross stitch. I like it so far. There is a bit of a learning curve. (Almost typed “learning curse” which may also work.) I haven&#39;t used it on anything difficult YET, but that&#39;s coming in a bit.

I can&#39;t believe I&#39;m having to read this dead tree book for mystery book club. I honestly can&#39;t remember the last time I read a whole paper book. (Actually it&#39;s only been a couple of years, and that was about 2 books.) I just don&#39;t read paper books anymore, but I couldn&#39;t find an ebook or audiobook of this one (Dead Men Dancing, by Jógvan Isaksen).
