Okay-ish run this morning. I started more new meds yesterday, so took it steady and stayed close to home. Started to struggle at ~3.5 miles, so headed home. Tough last mile though. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

30 minute recovery run in his morning. I was hoping to do more. Calf felt good, but the heat beat me. I even went out earlier than normal to try and get ahead of it. Oh well. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

I built this TV Unit five years ago. It was a glue and screw job, with the screwheads visible. I used clear wax as a finish. It needed a spruce up, but I decided to hide the screwheads with dowels whilst I was at it. After giving the whole thing a sand down, I waxed it. Decided to go for an ‘Old Pine’ wax rather than clear wax. Really pleased with how it came out. 1/2 #MakersHour #woodwork #woodworking

40 minute run. Don’t think I get to call it a recovery run! Felt okay! Was only planning on 30 minutes. Heat made it tough, had a couple of stops near the end. #run #running #runnersofmastodon

After the success of refreshing my TV Unit, next up was my vinyl shelf. Again, this was a glue and screw job from a few years ago. All the screws are now hidden with dowels and it’s had the same Old Pine wax applied. 1/2 #woodwork #woodworking #makershour

60 minute run today. Longest and furthest I’ve run in four weeks after pulling my calf. Last 20 minutes were tough. It was hotter than it seemed too. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

Decided to do a “fast” 5k this evening, just to see how I got on. Calf was absolutely fine, energy levels not so much! The last mile uphill was horrible! #run #running #runnersofmastodon

30 minute recovery run this morning. Stayed close to home just in case. Took it slow and steady. Calf felt okay, couple of twinges. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

I picked up another railway lantern last week. This one is a general purpose lantern rather than a signal lantern. It didn’t need much doing to it other than repairing the locking pin, a clean and a polish. #MakersHour #restoration #railway

Not a great run this morning. Calf started tightening up during mile 3, so I backed right off and walked/jogged home. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

No running for me this evening. My calf is still tight so am going to give it a miss. Also, I’ve been down to The Capital for work, which was tiring. #run #running #runnersofmastodon

Crappy run today. Managed two miles before my calf started to go. Ended it just after and walked home. Oh well, more recovery needed! #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

Spent this morning tinkering with the bike. Needed a new tyre so had that fitted - it looks a lot healthier than the old one (which I forgot to take a picture of!). Did some cleaning whilst the wheel was off, some bits are just easier to get to when the wheel is off! #motorbike #motorcycle #tinkering

Tough run this morning. Very hilly, for me anyway! Trail sections were muddy which was fun! Mile 3 was a horrid uphill section. I walked a fair bit of that. There were other stops and walking sections, but I’m okay with it! #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday

Pretty wet run today but my running rain jacket did its thing! Nearly didn’t go a) due to the rain and b) woke up with a headache but I managed to shift most of that before I went. I try to not look at my watch whilst I run, to prevent me obsessing over pace or distance. It was a surprise to come in at 10’15” per mile, it didn’t feel like it on the way round! No calf niggles today but I did have a couple of stops, walks and stretches, which I’m okay with! #run #running #runnersofmastodon #su...

Well, the bubble had to burst eventually. This year, 7 weeks and 7 runs of at least half-marathon distance. Today’s run was horrific. No pace. No rhythm. No energy. Shocked I managed to make 10 miles, felt like I was crawling. Oh well. I’ll get over it. #run #running #runnersofmastodon #sundayrunday
