In distancing himself from his earlier support of trans people, James Talarico may have thought he'd keep himself from being cast as Them, but he participated in the exact story that casts him that way.

@JuliusGoat@mastodon.social Exploring the tortured analogy of the locker room a bit further... while Talarico is quiet in the analogous locker room, Paxton and his buddies are actively pulling off towels and stuffing trans peoples' heads into toilets. (if you think I am exaggerating look at Paxton's stated goals and efforts). Is one candidate preferred over the other? Are we to believe that for trans rights that Talarico is the worse candidate? Worse than say... Paxton? Sorry these are the choices. Or alternatively should we understand that they are politically fungible? The claim beggars belief.
