  @whitequark@social.treehouse.systems When you say 'from ports', are you compiling ports from source or using packages? If it's the latter, I'm surprised. Normally I can do a pkg ins in the same time it takes apt to fail because I've forgotten to do apt update before I run it and if doesn't have any cache invalidation mechanism, and then the runs are very fast. Are you using a slow package mirror?

  oh, it turns out that what happened would be: i install nodejsthis causes the base system to be updated from 15.1 to 15.1p3this causes freebsd to decide to autonomously reboot (wtf??)this causes the CI orchestrator i'm using to falsely report it as a timeout despite no such thing happening
