Worldcom alone obliterated ~100 billion US$. Global Crossing did the same for ~50 billion US$.
Our memory has the habit of smoothing things over.

@masek@infosec.exchange I do not agree, I think this is on a completely different scale and really is not comparable to past bubbles in tech. This is closer to the 2008 financial crisis than any tech related bubble.
