I am seeing so many cases of people getting scammed on Bluesky and Threads, both client and artist. Is it any better on Mastodon? I feel like at least in this instance, it's quite well vetted, so I've never seen it. But what do you think?

@velgatheobserver@mastodon.art I have not gotten any scam contacts in Mastodon as an artist. And as an artist I have noticed that most of us who are legit offer things like contracts that confirm client rights over commercial work, are clearly against AI (LLM's), have websites, and offer payment options like half payment first and other half after (but dont release unwatermarked work before payment has arrived).

@velgatheobserver@mastodon.art I don't think so. At least none that I've come across. Though I've only really worked with one artist on here. But I'll boost for reach
