Hey all y'all movie people! Letterboxd is up for sale and there's a serious effort for its users to buy it. "Letterboxd is a community of people who spent years writing reviews, building lists, recommending films, discovering new directors, championing overlooked movies, and keeping cinema alive through conversation. "Now it’s being sold to the highest bidder. "This is bigger than saving a website. It's about who owns creative labor, and breaking the cycle that turns a good platform into a bad one once shareholders start demanding more. "Intrinsic Entertainment Collaborative, a public benefit company, is leading a community campaign to buy the majority stake using our collaborative ownership model. Filmmakers and fans, together, owning the platform whose value they built." https://www.letterboxd4all.com/ #letterboxd #monsterdon #movies
