@stevewetherill It's not about how 'good' the images look, or not. Even if the slop didn't have the uncanny valley factor, it would still be a problem. My photos are in the models you used to generate those images. I'm sure you would have given credit if you knew, or if the tool even gave you the choice, but it didn't, and my art has been stolen and you have used stolen assets. Using AI art in an article is a sign to me to stop reading and leave. It says "I don't care about the moral, ethical or ecological cost". Am I hypocrite for saying so? Yes, because I toyed with AI four years ago back when I didn't understand how it worked and I found it empty and worthless even then: https://camendesign.com/ai-art The point is that the tool was never designed with honesty in mind. Honesty is anathema to the purpose of AI, it is designed to deceive. Four years ago we didn't have AI being used to "compress the kill cycle", now we do. I'm sorry if this comes off as an attack on you, it's not. It's why I didn't say anything during the poll. It's not a discussion that can be had where there isn't a total rejection of AI. Think of it this way; this stuff is going to age very, very badly. Sorry. #noai #aislop
