Wondering if the intellectual justification to fire all the QA departments came from Rails TDD the same way that the intellectual justification to fire all the DBAs came from Rails migrations
Because let me tell you, TDD out in the trenches is an XKCD-class thought terminating cliche: “I heard that to write unit tests you have to do TDD and write the tests first, and that’s too much work so I don’t write tests

@flyingsaceur@ioc.exchange the dogma of TDD always smelled funny to me: contrary to the dogma we say the original author of the code is the worst person suited to write the tests because they will subconsciously write tests that prefer the happy paths and confirm their own biases.

@flyingsaceur@ioc.exchange I'd much rather write my tests first than debug crappie untested code later! (And no, XKCD covers far more than recidivist software devs)
