Mackinac, built by @johnwhiteside, is an open social web client that's thinking multi-protocol and bridging-first! John's added a *ton* of unique features we've never seen before, so we wanted to outline a few of them in a thread 👇🏼

In your feed, bridged posts show up with a little bridged icon and handles display the way they do on their native ecosystem. No weird long Bridgy Fed handles! If you view a bridged profile you get the switcher to jump to the other protocol and see the native profile. 2/

@anewsocial @johnwhiteside No information… Is it open source? On the other hand, the first thing it asks you to do is agree to store data in persistent storage = haha!
